FARMS

Essentially Lavender

Essentially Lavender began when the owners, Bill and Cathy Kirk, purchased a beautiful farm in Bruce County in 2012 featuring rolling hills, pastures, woodlots, a pond and a river. The farm was originally settled in 1869 and has evolved with various crops and creatures, the most recent being horses, sheep, cattle and elk.  The newest evolution is, of course, lavender and bees. Looking for a new challenge and a change in lifestyle, Bill and Cathy continue to work to create an oasis where you can come and relax in the luxury of lavender while enjoying a country setting.
They are a Lavender Farm offering tours and featuring lavender gardens, shrub and perennial gardens, a labyrinth, an apiary, an xeriscape garden and relaxing seating areas throughout the property.

Essentially Lavender now has cabins you can stay in at their property!   LEARN MORE ABOUT CABIN RENTALS

Hoity Toity Cellars

"There's nothing fancy about us. We are just hard working farmers making artisan wines and craft ciders. We feel the wine/cider experience should be 'fun' for everyone.

Just a short drive away in Mildmay, we make wine from Bruce County cold climate grapes, and our trend-setting ciders are made from local apples, pears and grapes. Our goal is to produce local product that is eco-friendly and hits the spot."
